I recovered nicely after the busy weekend - helped out by plenty of sleep. I am not sure I can say the same for Joanna - she seems to keep going out and doing things!
On Tuesday she went out and came home smelling of fires. I sniffed her carefully and worked out she had been lighting woodland fires and cooking marshmallows over them. I wasn't too sure about the idea of the fires, but a marshmallow or two sounds nice. She told me that a group of children from Two Mile Ash Kidz Club had come in to see her at Salcey Forest, and that they had been very nice. I was disappointing not to meet them.
Tomorrow she is going out again! This time for a Family Forest Fun session and an Exclusive Family booking. I tried to tell her to take me, but she said it would be too long a day, so she is going to take me with her on Friday when a group of children from Milton Keynes are visiting. I am very excited!
I did get wondering though. I live with 3 other dogs, all lovely,so why don't they go to the woods like me? After a bit of I discussion I found out that this is for two reasons.

- I am a puppy and lots of interactions with people and places while I am this young is good for me as it helps me to get used to all sorts of situations. It should help me be really sociable when I am older.
- Joanna has told me that she hopes I am going to be a "therapy dog." Apparently this isn't quite like a guide dog, or a dog for the disabled, so I won't have that much training. It is a dog to help people feel better. For me the people I can help are children and adults who come to the woods. Just making a fuss of me will cheer everyone up! And people who may be concerned about a dog will be won over by my wonderful behaviour! Well that is the idea anyway....
