Taking the curriculum outside - We can come to you, or visit us in the Forest
As well as our commitment to the pedagogy and ethos attributable to forest school, we support teachers, trainers and home educators in extending their children’s learning by taking their teaching outdoors. It is important to us that those who are leading the learning of our nations children have the confidence to take that learning outdoors. We deliver training sessions and days, both in our own woods and in school grounds. Full INSET days or twilight sessions for teachers, and creative outdoor learning sessions for those educating their children at home are designed to suit specific client needs: whether that’s whole school learning, or whether its a particular focus on a specific cohort or subject.
Our INSET days are designed around you and what you want to achieve. This could be how to deliver the computing curriculum outside, mathematics, elements of the history curriculum or simply how to use your grounds for outdoor learning, for any subject. We aim to give confidence to teachers to take the learning out of the classroom and into the school grounds and beyond.
