Fire and Air have been delivering Forest school leader training to 16 new trainees.
The trainees came from a wide range of backgrounds, including teachers, teaching assistants, park rangers, land owners and outdoor educators. They joined us from across the East and South East and made a fantastic team.
We spent two days in the woodlands, looking at skills such as how to use tools, identification of woodland species, woodland management, and how children learn.
Participants commented how lovely the days had been and how lucky we had been with the weather. I decided not to tell them it had rained half one afternoon!
The days seemed to fly - I guess that goes to show we were having fun!
